Gaerne SG10

The SG-10 is a premium boot worn by real racers. Featuring dual composite soles made of rubber and constructed of a lightweight alloy, these boots are high quality. The replaceable buckle system ensures that the SG-10 will last a long time. The Grip Guard, exclusive to Gaerne, provides assistance to the rider when keeping position on the bike, and the rubber shield displaces pipe heat.

The floating Razorback Pivot includes a built in system for ankle alignment, and the heel bumper offers added protection. Memory cell PU foam lines the inner offering complete construction and perfect fit. The SG-10 is leading the way in motocross boot technology and has been called the “The Perfect 10—the standard by which we now measure all motocross boots,” says Transworld Motocross Magazine. The SG-10 has also been praised for its fit and comfort, as well as its long lasting qualities. The features have been refined, and the colors updated. There really is a difference in the SG-10 from other motocross boots in the same class. Available in Black and White.

In the past I’ve worn AlpineStars (Tech8 and 10), Sidi and asnwer but the Gaerne SG 10 is the most comforable boot I’ve owned.

Overall, the SG10 is a great boot.
I bought my first pair of 10′s after suffering a severe foot injury requiring surgery in a cheap pair of Alpinestars. Since then, I have experienced no further shin, ankle or foot injuries despite several severe impacts.

These boots are very comfortable. The ankle pivot is fantastic for shifting and braking. Walking around when scouting trails or different sections of the track is no problem either.

The durability of the SG10 is fantastic. I’ve worn these boots for three years straight, every component of the boot is holding up better than my expectations for a motocross boot. The sole still looks great, the outer shell has kept it protective rigidity and the buckles still lock up tight.

The price of these boots is a little steep, but relative to the price of other top-notch motocross boots is reasonable. After my injury that cost thousands in medical bills, a few hundred dollars is a small price to pay for a protective, comfortable boot. My next pair of boots after my current pair wears out will be another pair of Gearne’s SG10.

After wearing several different brands of boots thru my riding days , I’d have to say these are the best so far out of them all!! They are very comfortable and all the buckels work great!!!plus they clean up so well they look almost new each time!!The sole is still in excellent shape which is great cause that is what I usually have lots of problems with but not these!

I’ve had my SG-10′s for 2 years. I was so stooked to buy my first pair of boots, found the SG-10′s and for a fraction of what I thought they would be. I didn’t have any problems “wearing” them in, no blisters, cramped feet, they are just comfortable. In my last race I was “T-Boned” by a Bombadiar. A delayed reaction lead to the bull bar meeting with my right foot. I had to pull out. X-rays showed that I had fractured my 3rd toe. I believe I would have come off as badly as my bike if I didn’t have such an awesome pair of boots, My brother in law agrees that the protection of the SG-10′s saved me/my foot. I am so confidant it the workman ship of the SG- 10 boot and hope all riders will take the boot into serious concideration when investing in lower leg protection.

I was recommended the SG 10′s and do not regret it. It’s my first pair of boots, so I do not have an adequate comparison. But as far as I am concerned, I wouldn’t by any other pair: optimum protection, comfortable inner lining, great fit.

i had a pair of these boots and never truly felt protected with the hinged ankle it just seemd that there was too much flex forward and back and even sprained my ankle in them i was dissappointed with these boots for the 500 some odd bux

Considered an old mans boot, they break in quickly, very comfortable. They have a little less protection then other boots but you can feel the bikes controls much better.Awsome boot!
